About this role HSP is actively looking for a Digital Content Manager for a short-term project assignment. The role requires experience in Public Health and Healthcare and experience with tasks including creating and uploading content for internal monitors, editing the website, creating social media content, managing Mailchimp newsletters, coordinating the upcoming magazine issue, and more.
The positions will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and are initially funded through 10/13/26, with the good chance of extension.
Pay Rate : $45.42 /hr
Location : Position will be fully remote
Job Duties :
- Serve as the primary daily liaison between the school and its web vendor, overseeing content, design and maintenance for all of the school's affiliated websites.
- Write and edit content for digital and traditional communication platforms focusing on school initiatives, faculty research, student training, community impact programs and more.
- Independently research, write, design and implement new digital communication vehicles that are cost effective and maximize community building and fund-raising priorities for the School.
- Research, develop and oversee new strategies, programs and solutions for the school's online presence.
- Develop and clearly define strategic goals, including developing and implementing plans for the school's digital presence, utilizing extensive knowledge of best practices for the web, including social media tools, trends, monitoring and analysis.
- Independently meet with faculty and staff to learn about new school initiatives and research, for the production of stories in multiple formats, disseminating news to local and global audiences, ultimately creating an online community and positioning the Fielding School of Public Health as the go-to resources for public health issues.
- Assist with coordination of content for the Fielding School's magazine.
- Establish evaluation measures that demonstrate the progress of strategic online communications efforts toward the accomplishment of clearly defined goals and objectives.
- Assist the Associate Dean for Marketing and Communications with the development and implementation of marketing and media strategies that embrace the School's strategic priorities, promote the School's national and global visibility and convey the real world impact of the School's research and engagement efforts.
- Work with the Associate Dean to create promotional campaigns and pro-actively pursue media coverage to further the school's mission.
- Actively participate in Marketing/Communications team meetings, providing analysis and strategic planning to meet required objectives.
- Direct and independently manage special projects as needed.
- Establish and maintain a Marketing and Communications archive, including photographs and news-coverage archives.
- Assist with school special events, sometimes held in the evenings, or on weekends.
Requirements :
- Experience in communications.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and defining strategic goals for digital and traditional communications exposure.
- Experience in meeting tight deadlines and providing project deliverables on-time, without loss of excellent writing using correct grammar and syntax.
- Demonstrated experience in working independently and efficiently in a fast-past, deadline-driven environment with competing priorities and frequent interruptions.
- Demonstrated exceptional English writing skills, including demonstrated experience in writing online and traditional communications that are creative and results-focused.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Drupal or any Content Management Systems.
- Knowledge and familiarity with the fields of public health.
- Demonstrated, extensive knowledge of best practices for the web, social media tools, current and projected trends to monitor and analyze for effective results.
- Demonstrated analytical skill to review information, the situation at hand, and problem-solve, arriving at solutions, with projected outcomes.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, initiative, resourcefulness, diplomacy, while exhibiting professional and appropriate behavior in arriving at decisions and solving problems.
- Organizational skill and strong attention to detail to manage multiple projects and provide accurate deliverables on-time.
- Demonstrated skill in understanding what information is confidential and sensitive, using tact, diplomacy and discretion at all times.
